Heldere rundvleessoep (beef consommé)

You needn’t spend hours in the kitchen for an authentic beef consommé – indeed, this clever recipe uses a handy, ready-made broth for a delicious soup in next to no time!

Ingredients

1 litre of Struik concentrated beef broth
2 spring onions
2-3 handfuls of soup noodles
1 bag of Calvé onion garlic croutons

Preparation

Pour the jar of concentrated broth into a large soup pan and then dilute with 3 jars of water. Bring the soup to a boil, add in a few handfuls of soup noodles and then leave to gently simmer for 10 minutes. Lastly, finely slice the spring onions and add to the soup immediately prior to serving with croutons and freshly baked baguette. Yum!
