Hollands kaasplankje (Dutch cheese board)

What better way to round-off the perfect meal than with a delicious selection of authentic Dutch cheeses? Discover how to prepare a traditional Dutch cheese board that’s guaranteed to impress your guests, below.

Ingredients

1 piece of Old Amsterdam cheese
1 piece of semi mature goat’s cheese
1 piece of Leerdammer cheese
A few tablespoons of Dutch apple syrup
1 pack of rye bread

Dutch cheese board

Preparation

First remove the cheeses from their packaging and arrange on a cheese board. Leave to rest at room temperature for approximately 1 hour. Now pop a few slices of rye bread onto the cheese board, spoon a little apple syrup into a small bowl, and place a cheese knife next to each cheese. Pair your typical Dutch cheeseboard with a powerful red or dessert wine for delicious results.
