Most Dutch potato and mushroom dishes tend to contain meat, yet the vegetarian alternative is surprisingly delicious – so why not try our tempting vegetarian potato and mushroom oven dish recipe below, for proof of the proverbial pudding?
2 tbsp. of olive oil
400 grams of mushrooms
800 grams of new potatoes
1 red pepper
1 pack of Maggi Hollands pannetje Mushroom Leeks with Chicken
100 grams of grated Dutch mature cheese
First preheat your oven to 200 C. Next slice the onions and peppers, cut the mushrooms into quarters and cut the new potatoes in half. Now heat the oil in a pan and fry the onions until transparent. Add in the new potatoes and mushrooms and stir-fry until tender. Meanwhile, prepare the Maggi sauce according to the instructions on the packaging. Now place the potato mixture into an oven dish, cover with your freshly made Maggi sauce and top with the red pepper. Finally sprinkle generously with grated cheese and pop into your oven for about 10 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with a fresh green salad.
