Gevulde aardappelen met kaas (Baked potatoes with cheese)

Real Dutch cheese turns even the most simple of dishes into a delicious treat!


4 large potatoes
200 grams of grated Dutch cheese
2 tbsp. of fresh chives (chopped)
1 egg yolk
1 tbsp. of milk

Preheat the oven to 200 C. Boil the potatoes for 10 minutes, or until almost tender, and drain. Wrap the potatoes in aluminium foil and make a cut above each potato. Remove around 2 tablespoons of potato from the opening and place into a bowl. Add to this ¾ of the grated Dutch cheese, the fresh chives, egg yolk and milk and stir together until nice and smooth. Next, place this mixture onto the potatoes, sprinkle over remaining the cheese and add a small knob of butter. Place the potatoes onto a baking tray and bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Delicious with a typical Dutch salad and a nice piece of meat.
