Kerstkransjes (Dutch Christmas Biscuits)

Decorate your Christmas tree the traditional Dutch way with these delicious Dutch biscuits!

Ingredients:
250 grams of flour
125 grams of butter
75 grams of sugar
50g of flaked almonds
Red ribbon

Preparing the christmas cookies

Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 175C and line a baking tray with grease proof paper. Place the flour, butter and sugar into a mixing bowl and create a smooth dough. Sprinkle some flour onto your kitchen work surface and roll out the dough using a rolling pin. Using a pastry cutter, glass or cup, cut circles from the dough and using an apple corer, create a hole in the centre of each. Next gently place each circle onto the baking tray and sprinkle with almonds. Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown and allow to cool. Finally, cut 15 cm of red ribbon, thread through the hole in the centre of each biscuit and hang them on your Christmas tree.
