Broodpap met rozijnen (Bread Porridge with Raisins)

Fancy a delicious Dutch pudding?

1 litre of milk
3 slices of stale bread
50 g of sugar
80 g of raisins
1 lemon

Wash the lemon, grate some of the peel and remove the crusts from the bread. Next, take a large saucepan, pour in the milk, together with the sugar, raisins and the zest of the lemon and bring to the boil. Cut the stale bread into pieces and add to the milk. Allow this porridge to cook for 5 to 10 minutes over a low heat, stirring constantly. Finally, serve with sugar and cinnamon.
