Two Dutch Book Stores Rank in the 20 Most Beautiful in the World!

Some bookstores are just so inviting that customers (and committed bookworms) chose to visit, whether they actually intend to purchase a new book or not. Flavorwire, a website devoted to art and culture, recently published their list of the 20 most beautiful bookstores in the entire world. And remarkably two of them are located in the Netherlands!

As a result, the Selexyz bookstore in Maastricht is perhaps no longer the city’s best kept secret – this impressive retail outlet, housed in a converted Dominican Church, is worth visiting for the stunning architecture alone.

Their list also featured the ever popular American Book Centre, situated in the bustling heart of Amsterdam close to the picturesque Singel canal. We believe that this cool, yet decidedly cosy hangout, more than deserves its place on the list and is the perfect place to while away a rainy afternoon.
